During the second half of 1993, Gamma self-contained irradiators were sold at the following sites:
. King Saud University placed an order for one Gammacell-220 Research Irradiator with an inner Cobalt-60 Source activity of 24000 curies, this unit will be installed at the College of Sciences within KSU.

. King Abdul-Aziz City of Science and Technology (KACST) which is the governing institute over any importation of radio-active sources into the Kingdom has also placed an order for one Gammacell-220 with an inner source activity of 24000 curies. This unit will be installed in the Research Centre of this institute.

. Saudi Arabian Oil Company (ARAMCO) has just purchased one Gammacell-1000 self-contained irradiator for its blood bank. The inner radioactive source is Caesium - 137 with a nominal activity of 1270 curies.

. Al-Shifa Medical Syringes Mfg. Co. in Dammam has purchased 100000 curies of Cobalt-60 source to sterilize the manufactured syringes in their final packings.
